I am already one forth done with NaNoWriMo. On day three. Hell freaking yes. I hope you guys are doing well, because if you tell yourself you can do it, you can.
Here are some more tricks I've learned...
- Tell yourself you will write X amount of words in X amount of time. And do it. Chances are, you will be able to.
- Sprint. Don't do long writing sessions, you will get distracted.
- Know where you want your story to go, but don't force it to go that way if it starts going a different way.
- Just DO IT!
Jackie is also blogging everyday about NaNo. Read her posts. They are really spiffy. See them here.
great tips ;)
ReplyDeleteDAMN! I think you actually beat... No, you didnt. LOL. Im sure your catch up very soon!!
ReplyDeleteCant wait to read it one day! Hopefully soon!
That is so awesome! I'm not too far along, but I am more far along than I thought I would be. That's great you are doing so well!
ReplyDeleteWoo hoo! Go Alex! I knew you'd be awesome at this NaNo stuff.
ReplyDeleteDude! Two things: I love your enthusiasm and your honesty. I remember what it was like being your age, writing my first novel, and how quickly I wrote and how much fun I had doing it. That novel is indisputably unpublishable, but I still loved doing it and completing that novel led me to working on what is now my eleventh.
ReplyDeleteDon't ever let anyone tell you you can't do it. Especially not yourself! Keep going!
